Community Bible Experience Week 7: 1-2 Peter, Jude, John
Can you believe we’re entering Week 7 of our Community Bible Experience?! If you’re caught up on the reading, you have two weeks left! If you’re a bit behind, no worries! Keep reading and maybe make it a goal to finish by end of summer or before Thanksgiving.
Here are a couple of things for this week:
— We’re in Week 7, which means that we’re reading 1-2 Peter, Jude and John.
— In the books of 1-2 Peter, we hear from Jesus’ disciple, Peter. He was a major leader in the church in Rome. A lot of his writing is to encourage believers who were facing persecution.
— Jude is a very short book by one of Jesus’ brothers. Jude warns against false teaching.
— The book of John is the last Gospel we will read. It has a different tone and feel from Matthew, Mark and Luke. John was probably written the latest of all the Gospels. Notice John’s emphasis on the creation — in the beginning and the new creation through Jesus!
— Remember that we have Drop-In Group Wednesday at the church at 7 p.m. You are welcome to come, no matter where you are in the reading!
— We still want to hear what you’re learning and what God is showing you as you experience His Word this summer! Email us at MyStory@CrossRoadsChurch.Ca.
Have a great week of reading!
